Our God and Father, we know You desire truth in our most inward parts (Psalm 51:6). You have told us to have nothing to do with the unfruitful deeds of darkness but rather expose them. (Eph. 5:11) Your Son, our Lord, declared that those things that have been covered up will be revealed, the hidden things will be made known, those things said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what has been whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops. (Luke 12:2,3)
Father, would you grant over the final days leading up to the election a small taste of this ultimate future fulfillment?
Many within our nation are raging against Your Kingdom. Rulers are plotting together against You and against Your anointed Son, scheming to break asunder the bonds of Your law and the cords of Your ways. (Psalm 2)
We pray the words of Your song back to you, O LORD. Hold these schemers in contempt. Speak to them in Your wrath. Terrify them in Your fury. Let the lies, the plots, the evil deeds done in darkness be dragged into the light and loudly proclaimed over the rooftops of America.
In Your wrath, LORD, remember mercy. Grant those at war with You the grace to repent. But Father, in Jesus’ Name, let not their weapons prosper. (Isa. 54:17) Deliver us from their lies and snares. In Your light grant us and our nation the grace to see the light. (Psalm 36:9)
